Palace Emiri Diwan – historic legacy turned to thriving meeting place

At the start of the 20th century, the Old Emiri Palace in Doha used to be inhabited by Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani but afterward lost its governmental function. In the seventies, it was transformed into the Qatar National Museum as well as the administrative, ceremonial, and symbolic center of the country.

The historic Palace now assembles a large audience of people and workers, augmenting the need for effective fire detection and an operative alarm strategy.

After a careful fire load assessment and evaluation of the existing strategies, our engineers developed several governing fire scenarios, intervention maps for the Civil Defense services, and efficient evacuation strategies.
